Description

This project concerned the capacity increase of the existing crude oil feeding system that runs from Megara Tank Farm to HELPE/Elefsis Refinery (EIC) and HELPE/ Aspropyrgos (AIC) Refinery at a new rate of 1,400 m3/h.

The feeding system from Megara to AIC was operating at a rate transfer of 960 m3/h through a 16’’pipeline and a pair of pumps in a series, while to EIC at a rate of 500-530 m3/h through a 12’’ pipeline and a pair of pumps situated in parallel.

In order to obtain the new transfer rate for both pipelines, the installation of new pumps, new manifold, new pipe routing, new MOV’s, a new pump station and Pig Signaler were utilized ensuring the proper preparation of crude mixtures at the same time.
