Description
Offshore Interconnector Greece – Italy is a Project of Community Interest for transferring Natural Gas from the Caspian Region to the European Market. ASPROFOS, along with specialized partners, prepared the Preliminary and the Final Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for the project.
For the nearshore section diving expeditions were performed whilst for the offshore section remote sensing and technology and ROVs were used. Unexpected social objection of the project was handled in a professional and objective manner resulting in the Environmental Terms Approval of the project, issued on 2015.
