  • Conceptual /Feasibility Studies, Basic Engineering, Authority Engineering and Permits, Detailed Engineering, Project Management, Field Supervision of executed works, QA/QC Inspection, Operating & Maintenance of the National Natural Gas Transmission System, Expansion Studies
  • Assistance to the Greek Ministry of Development for the preparation of the necessary Legislation in the Energy sector and specifically for Natural Gas related matters as well as Technical Standards and Specifications of the Gas Market. (according to pertinent law LAW 3428/2006)
  • Detailed Engineering Review:
    Review of the detailed design as set out in the EPC Contract implemented by the technical volume and the applicable Codes & Standards. This entails the thorough understanding of the design delivered by Contractor, adopting and embracing all processes and methodological approaches proposed. Review of the design was extended to cover all deliverables and final documentation, such as technical plans, procedures, methodological approaches for management, design, testing etc., and all engineering activities implemented in the project execution phase.
  • Supervision:
    • Supervision and acceptance of all technical methods applied during the Project execution.
    • Follow up of the progress of the project, intervening when corrective actions that needed to be implemented to avoid divergence from the requirements set out in the EPC Contract.
    • Support DESFA in relation to progress verification and payment,
    • Review the integrity of Construction Documentation proposed by EPC Contractor during project Execution.
    • Review Field Engineering requirements proposed by EPC Contractor. Approve modifications proposed and assure rectification of surveying errors encountered.
    • Review EPC Contractor’s procurement schedule, assess proposed vendors & subcontractors, procurement requisitions, vendor’s inspection & test plans material receipt activities.
    • Inspection & Testing: Review EPC Contractor’s inspection and testing programs, plans & procedures.
    • Review EPC Contractor’s HSE Manual, Plan & Procedures.
    • Verify the status of progress certificates; support Project Manager in the evaluation and settlement of variation requests and claims.
    • Final Technical Documentation & Close Out Activities: Review as- built drawings and assure that complete and correct final technical documentation is assembled as required.
    • Certify Mechanical Completion, produce close out report and support Client in Provisional Acceptance Procedures.

The HELLENIC GAS TRANSMISSION SYSTEM OPERATOR - DESFA S.A. (former DEPA S.A. prior to May 2007) since the beginning of 1990, conceived, designed, executed and now operates and manages the entire National Natural Gas Transmission System (NNGTS) within the Hellenic Territory.
