- Detailed Engineering Review:
Review of the detailed design as set out in the EPC Contract implemented by the technical volume and the applicable Codes & Standards. This entails the thorough understanding of the design delivered by Contractor, adopting and embracing all processes and approaches proposed. Review of the design extends to cover all deliverables and final documentation, such as technical plans, procedures, methodology approaches for management, quality, testing etc., and all engineering activities implemented in the project execution path.
- Supervision:
- Supervision and acceptance of all technical methods applied during the execution of the Project.
- Monitoring the progress of the project, intervening when corrective actions needed to be implemented to avoid divergence from the requirements set out in the EPC Contract.
- Support the Project Manager in relation to progress verification and payments.
- Assess and identify any key design risks, when presented, expanding the review activity accordingly
Description
Hellenic Gas Transmission Operator's (DESFA) project consisted of the implementation, design, procurement and construction of a 20" diameter pipeline extending a distance of approximately 26 km, transporting high pressure natural gas from the Vagia Line Valve Station of to Thisvi Industrial Area, in order to supply gas to the THISVI Combined Cycle Power Plant. The project also undertook construction of the necessary scraper stations and other associated installations.
