Technical Data

  • 71 km length, 10" Outside Diameter pipeline from Ambelia to Karditsa and Trikala
  • One (1) 10" Scraper Launcher at Ambelia Operation & Maintenance Building area
  • One (1) 10" line valve station along the pipeline from Ambelia to Karditsa. The area for the installation of the above station will be selected by ASPROFOS during the Basic design execution.
  • One (1) 10" line valve station together with Metering Regulating station at Karditsa. The area for the installation of the aforesaid facilities will be selected by ASPROFOS during the Basic design execution.
  • One (1) 10" scraper receiver station together with Metering Regulating station at Trikala. The area for the installation of the above facilities will be selected by ASPROFOS during the Basic Design execution.
  • Cathodic protection system along the whole pipeline route.
  • HDPE conduit 40 mm Outside Diameter along the pipeline route for the insertion of the F.O. cable.
  • Electrical, instrumentation, telecommunication and SCADA system.
  • Access roads for the above stations if required

Description

ASPROFOS’ Detailed Engineering Review Team provided valuable engineering review, securing that technical requirements were being met in the most cost-efficient manner possible. Properly conducted, constructability and maintainability reviews improved the quality of design that has been performed by the Contractor. The reviews also provided the following ancillary benefits:

  • Minimize or eliminate changes during the construction period
  • Improve the construction contractor’s productivity
  • Enhance the overall quality of the project
  • Reduce the potential for project delays
  • Minimize conflicts and disputes among the project participants
  • Reduce construction cost and maintenance and operating costs
    ASPROFOS’ Construction Supervision Team reported to DEPA’s Project Manager and liaised, cooperated and provided support to all customer's departments for the successful implementation of the project. ASPROFOS particularly provided support for the effective procurement, erection, construction, testing and delivery of the completed project.
    The Construction Supervision Team reviewed and supervised Contractor’s various activities, so as to assure the following ancillary benefits:
