Detailed Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the 3rd LNG Tank in order to increase the storage capacity of the LNG Terminal on Revithousa island from 130,000 m3 to 225,000 m3 LNG.
Main design characteristics of the new Tank:

Operational Basis Earthquake (OBE) : 0.24g (Peak ground acceleration)
Safe Shutdown Earthquake (SSE) : 0.48g (Peak ground acceleration)
Design min temperature : - 170 ° C
Design max internal pressure : 290mbarg
Design min internal pressure : - 0.5mbarg
Design boil-off rate : 0.075% vol/day
The 3rd Tank (81.5m outer diameter), partially in pit, is supported on 308 pieces of seismic isolators (triple action friction pendulum system) and the interspace between the tank and the pit is ventilated via eight (8) pit ventilation fans of 11KW each.
The Project also includes:
- Installation of four new Low Pressure In-Tank LNG pumps of design capacity 200 m3/h LNG each, at discharge pressure of 1202 kPa .
- Construction of a new electrical substation and local control room and all necessary interfaces/interconnections with the existing facilities of the LNG Terminal
- Construction of all necessary internal and external piping for loading/unloading/BOG e.t.c. and all necessary interconnections with the existing piping networks of the LNG Terminal
- Upgrading of the existing DCS system and extension for the 3rd Tank.
- Fire and gas detection and firefighting systems for the new facilities.
- All necessary monitoring and control system for the new equipment.
- Installation of civil monitoring system for the new tank
- Lightning protection system
- Surrounding works (roads, paving, fencing).
- Construction of new post tensioned bridge 104.5m.

Description
- Review and approval of Contractor's Detailed Engineering Documentation.
- Review Contractors Vendor’s and Subcontractor's Lists.
- Review and approval of Contractors Field Engineering Documentation.
- Provide DESFA with the Engineering back-up information as and when required.
- Check the Technical acceptability of any changes proposed by Contractor to original design.
- Construction supervision services
- Review and agree of Contractor’s breakdowns of the Works
- Review of the technical adequacy of the Contractor’s plans, procedures and method statements
- Participation in all necessary site meetings, progress review meetings, etc. organized and conducted by DESFA
- Check of the site log
- Review of the field engineering output by Contractor to check compliance with the Technical Volume, regulations, local conditions and good engineering practice
- Review of Contractor’s procurement schedule and sub-contracting schedule
