- Modification of loading arms at loading point of the existing part of the pier.
- At the new loading points of the pier, reconstruction of product lines and hold on pipe rack in both the existing and the new part of the pier.
- Installation of a pump out system for the collection of product drains, with two lines to be hold on pipe rack and two containers with pumps. One tank serves the drainage of white products (gasoline) and the other of diesel / fuel oil.
- Installation of a rainwater system for the collection of rainwater and sea water that will end up in a drain with pump. The drain will be placed at the beginning of the existing part of the pier.
- Installation of systems that facilitate ships’ mooring and loading (bumpers, electric bollards, etc.)

Description
Review of the existing study aiming to the expansion of the Old Pier. The expansion / revamp is necessary because:
- The distances between the loading positions are too short and are not considered safe enough in case of an incident with simultaneous ships’ loading.
- Lines at loading points restrict staff movement freedom.
- The safety systems in case of an accident consider inadequate.
- Marine pollution is possible due to products’ leaks and oils from the old existing underground pipelines.
- The pier is made by adobe bricks which have been damaged by ship collisions and turbulence created by ship propellers.
- The seabed around the pier has been excavated by ship propellers and needs to be rehabilitated and strengthened.
