The LVN continuous water wash system uses high pressure feed water from the boiler mixed with sour water from the "boot" of the new drum. The wash water is fed through injection nozzles to the shells of specific heat exchangers.
The project includes the addition of a light virgin naphtha (LVN) continuous water wash system in order to reduce the formation of saltation deposits in the LVN circuit and to avoid corrosion and residues in the exchangers and the rest connected equipment. It is also planned to replace the existing air cooler and the drum and their interconnection.
