A new Board of Directors was appointed at ASPROFOS ENGINEERING SA’s BoD meeting that was held on May 13th 2015, constituted as follows:
Mr. Gerasimos Katopodis was appointed President of the Board of Directors. He is a Chemical Engineer with over 35 years’ experience in managerial positions in refineries and major Greek companies in the energy sector. From 1983 to 1992, he worked in ASPROFOS’ Process Department. He has released several publications and made many presentations on specialized subjects in technical journals, conferences and Greek organizations.
Mr. Nicolaos Peppes was appointed as Vice President of the Board of Directors. He is an Electrical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens. He began his career in ASPROFOS in 1986 by participating in Aspropyrgos Refinery’s Modernization Project. Further on, he has been appointed to several important managerial positions in Hellenic Petroleum S.A. and since 2013 he is the Reliability & Support Manager for the South Refineries.
Mr. John Fotopoulos remains CEO of ASPROFOS, having taken office in January 2012. He is a mechanical engineer from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and holds a Master of Science degree.
Mr. Christopher Antotsios was appointed Member of the Board of Directors. He is a Chemical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens. He started his career from the Thessaloniki Refinery in 1989. He then undertook important positions in the Hellenic Petroleum Group such as Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance. Since 2011, he is the Technical Services Manager of the Refinery in the Thessaloniki Industrial Complex.
Finally, remaining as a Member from the previous Board is Mr. Solon Filopoulos, a Chemical Engineer who was elected as the Employees’ representative.
The term of the Board of Directors ends on May 12, 2018, with the exception of Board member Mr. S. Filopoulou whose mandate as Employees’ representative expires on May 20, 2016.
